I love June Ambrose. No, not like, but love. I love her turbans, I love her sunnies, I love that she is always down to rock out with her frock out. So when she tweeted this pic of herself the other day, I was all about it. Now you know I pretty much always have some kind of nude lip happening, but after allowing her image to be permanently embedded in my psyche, I zombie-walked to the MAC store.
Btw, I highly recommend the 22nd & 5th St location. The staff was much cooler than the one in the Lincoln Center area. With the exception of one male makeup artist, the rest kinda' suck. And I went multiple times.
Anyways, I got the corally Double Dare Cremesheen Lipglass. Though it seems like she's wearing a pencil or matte lipstick, I went for a more sheer/glossy look, because though I love her, I gotta be me!
It looks OK on me, but not so hot...and that's why it's going back. So like, David Banner, I'll wander the earth until I find the right color.
P.S. Oh Oh, you know another brown girl who wears the hell out of red? Fatima Robinson. I saw her yesterday when I caught a minute of "Dance Your A$$ Off" during my salt cave treatment. Salt cave treatment...Yup, you guessed it. Another post coming your way!
